The character select screen has appeared throughout many genres of games, although it's most recognizable for its use in fighting games. This concept only applies to games with a list of pictures/names of all the characters you can pick from. This can also apply to games with different types of vehicles you are allowed to choose from. Ok so recently i've pushed a lot of time toward this game i am making. I am stuck at one function my friend wants. He wants to be a part of my game! Hey all.
So I'm building a class based game, and over the last couple of nights I've created my movement and everything so now I want to turn it from a generic game into my game.
Game Maker Character Selection Guide
Its a class based game and I'm wondering if it would be better to implement classes all within one object, or to split them between different objects and use the movement object as a parent? Maybe there are other better ways of handling it?
